2017 has been a whirlwind so far. These past 8 months had been crazy.
I turned 24. I visited Chicago, Kentucky & Wisconsin. I graduated college. I was blessed by Harry Styles. I started and ended an internship that made me think what I wanted in the future. In short, 2017 has taught me so much about me.
But the thing that really made 2017 stand out for me was my decision to do a gap year before finding jobs.. I started to think about really thinking about what I wanted to do after getting my BA and I realized that I needed a break. I have been going to school full time, working part-time jobs and had internships in the past couple of years that I didn’t really get to enjoy a lot of things fully. So I decided I needed a break. A gap year.
In this year gap year, I hope to accomplish a lot of things. Mostly, I want growth, find what career I really want and also travel.
Yesterday, I officially finished my internship for LLS for 1iota. I can’t believe how much I’ve grown since January and how many amazing people I’ve met while interning there. I worked on one of my favorite shows on TV, saw celebs up close and see what they’re really like, met the most amazing people in the industry– from pages, security, production and talent. It was such an amazing and unforgettable experience.
But I’m ready for what God has in store for me for my gap year. And I’m definitely posting more.
